The Bible is our sole authority. "All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16
Since God's Word is the only completely reliable and truthful authority, we accept the Bible as our manual for living. Our first question when faced with a decision is, "What does the Bible say?" We encourage daily Bible reading, Bible study, and Bible memorization. The Bible is the basis for all we believe as true and right.
The Spirit of the Lord is the giver of life. His role is paramount to the establishing of the Kingdom of God in our lives and in our church. that which the Spirit produces will be considered top priority in our pursuits.
These manifestations will be considered the evidence of the Spirit of God's influence in our lives.
Independence of the local church. "(Christ) is also the head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the first-born from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything." Colossians 1:18
Christ is the recognized Head of our church; not any person, group or religious organization. While recognizing the value of associating and cooperating with other groups of Christians, we believe the local church should be self-governing and independent from any denominational control.
We believe in the Priesthood of every believer to grow, serve and equip others. "And He has made us to be a kingdom, priest to His God and Father - to Him be the glory and dominion forever and ever..." Revelation 1:6
The Bible teaches that every Christian is called to full-time Christian service, regardless of his or her vocation. We practice the truth that every believer is a minister by encouraging every member to find a place of service and ministry. Every believer has direct access to God through prayer and Bible reading.
The Lord has no pleasure in the death of the unbeliever. "For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies.' declares the Lord GOD. 'Therefore, repent and live." Eze 18:32
Repentance is the message of the Kingdom, the message of life. Therefore we will call men to repentance at every Spirit-led opportunity. Repentance will never be diminished in the pursuit of making the unbeliever more comfortable nor will it be used as an instrument of fear to drive the unbeliever away. "...do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience not knowing that the kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance? Romans 2:4 NASB
Healing always was and always will be the master stroke of the master's hand. Jesus was anointed to be and to remain our healer. "You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him." Acts 10:38
We rejoice in and emphasis the healing of the oppressed. We believe that if God ever healed anyone in times past that He can, will and desires to heal folks today because He never changes, as He ever was so He will always be - our healer!
Giving is an act of obedience. "Let each one do just as he has purposed in his heart; not grudgingly or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver" 2 Cor 9:7
Giving is an expression of affection and accurate indicator of love. We practice spirit-led stewardship not formula-fed giving. We practice stewardship for the support of the local Church and world-wide missions work.
Immersion baptism after salvation. We practice baptism by immersion under water. This is the way Jesus was baptized, and the way the Bible commands.
