RLC is a simple church

We know that we can never be the perfect church - because we are filled with imperfect people - so we don't try to be the perfect church. We don't try to be everything to everybody. There are somethings we simply don't do. We have learned the art of simplicity. We focus on simple things like connections.

We have learned that flow of our life is greatly determined by the quaility of our connections. Therefore at RLC we seek to help you make better connections.

The most important connection you will ever have is with God. We believe that Jesus Christ is the savior of mankind, sent by God the Father to pay the penality for man's sins and that by believing in our hearts and confessing with our mouths that Jesus Christ is Lord we are saved.

We don't promote the god of religion, the one who demands obedience to rules, regulations and laws without grace. The arrogant god who produces arrogant followers. We promote, follow and declare the God of Scripture, the one who loved us in our sin but refused to let us wallow there. The God of passion who transforms the fragmented heart, restores the devestated dream and restores the life-less soul.

At RLC we have learned the emptiness of proclaiming our love of God while showcasing our disdain for each other. We know that where a person comes from is not nearly as important as where a person is going. We believe that every life is valueable, every dream attainable and every voice enjoyable. We seek to unleash the potential that is laid up within the human heart and to love each with the same love with which Christ has loved us.

At RLC we believe that maturity of heart is best proven through service to others. So at our church we put a great deal of emphasis on each member finding a place to serve. We provide opportunites for our members to serve here in the local church, in our community through servant teams and in the nations through our international mission connections.
